Barack Obama: Kanye West A “Jackass” For Outburst At 2009 MTV VMA

Right after the 2009 MTV VMA we posted an article regarding Kanye West who interfered the first ever speech of Taylor Swift who just won her first ever VMA award as “Best Female Video.” Kanye West showed his support to Beyonce and shouted to the whole viewers that Beyonce have the best videos ever. He dissed Taylor Swift and punched her with his words that she might have won this year’s “Best Female Video” but that does not mean she can now level with Beyonce.

This event created buzz in and out of the web. But three hours after the said event, Kanye West apologized to the public and said that he also apologized to Taylor and her mother. She said she respect her and he added that he really love the line “she’s Cheer Captain and I’m on the bleachers.”

Some thought it would be another scripted event of MTV and just thought this buzz will soon be forgotten the next days. But it seems that this buzz reached the White House and President Obama also commented on Kanye’s behavior. President Obama called Kanye a ‘jackass‘ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. ABC’s “Nightline” co-anchor Terry Moran, who had access to off-the-record comments Obama made while being interviewed Monday by CNBC, tweeted it. Thousands of users saw this and Moran quickly deleted the comment but it was still accessible online. ABC News immediately issued a statement apologizing to the White House and CNBC for Moran’s journalistic breach.

The White House might have heard their statement but still has not responded to this issue.
